Call Servers and Phone Modules
|
 |
| |
|
 |
Introducing the maximiser
from SpliceCom - a business telephone system, designed
and developed in the 21st Century for those requiring
between 4 and 10,000 IP or analogue extensions. Completely
scalable in design and distributed in architecture,
all maximiser systems are built around just four modules
representing two core components – Call Server and Phone
Module. |

|
|

|
One of
these four modules, the 5108 Call Server – has been
specifically designed to meet the needs of smaller businesses
and the branch offices of larger organizations. |
Embracing
open industry standards wherever they exist, all maximiser
solutions appear to customers, employees and system
administrators alike as a single system, no matter how
many separate sites, homeworkers or mobile employees
are encompassed. maximiser is configured and managed
as a single system via a standard web browser. For very
large scale Enterprise and Hosted/Managed requirements,
maximiser XS utilises the core maximiser operating system,
running on Apple's Xserve platform to support up to
100,000 extensions.
Supporting rich functionality including a one number,
"go anywhere, reach me any how" facility, GSM mobile
extensions, multi-site hot desking, voicemail, auto-attendant,
unified messaging and call recording as standard, maximiser
is just at home, and more importantly proves cost-effective,
for simple 4 extension "dial-tone" PBX requirements
as it does in fully converged, multi-site installations.

SpliceCom Maximiser XS Call Server
|
| The Maximiser XS Call Server, is a super-scalable
IP Telephony platform that can be provisioned with as
few as 510 IP or analogue extensions and scales up to
100,000 users. The XS Call Server utilises SpliceCom's
existing 5 Series maximiser application suite running
on Apple’s high-reliability XServe Unix platform. Offering
all of the familiar maximiser architectural trademarks
– distributed processing, cost-effective scalability,
equal support for IP and analogue phones, independence
from the underlying LAN infrastructure – the XS Call
Server also allows multiple Virtual maximiser Call Servers
to run on a single XServe platform.
|
 |
 |
Each Virtual Call Server is capable
of running a different level of software if required.
This makes maximiser XS perfectly suited for running
Managed, Hosted and Multi-Tenancy IP Telephony applications
in addition to meeting large scale Enterprise requirements.
|
|
|
Each SpliceCom
5100 Call Server can support up to 500 IP or analogue
extensions and is supplied as standard with 4-16 voicemail
ports and 1,500 hours of voicemail storage. Basic Auto
Attendant is also included. Constructed on a Linux platform
and built around an LDAP database, the 5100 Call Server
module provides the foundation of the Maximiser system,
hosting call routing capabilities, voice processing,
a SIP Proxy Server, H.323 Gateway & GateKeeper and integral
Apache Web Server.
|
| Supplied with an initial
capability to support up to eight analogue extensions,
the 5100 Call Sever provides physical expansion capabilities
to support eight further analogue extensions and four
directly connected IP Phones. Higher densities of IP
and analogue phones are supported through the addition
of standard LAN switches and Maximiser Phone Modules
respectively. |
 |
Supplied as standard with
4 Basic Rate ISDN telephone lines, trunk capacity can
be expanded via two further Basic Rate interfaces, dual
Primary Rate ISDN (PRI)/DPNSS, SIP and H.323 IP Trunks.
In scenarios where support for more than 500 users is
required, multiple 5100 call servers can be linked together
via the IP LAN or WAN to provided a single seamless
system for up to 10,000 users |
| |
|
|
 |
Provides
connectivity for up to 15 analogue extensions and four
IP Phones. Connectivity to the 5100 Call Server is
achieved via the LAN or an IP WAN link.
|
| |
|
|
| Provides connectivity for
up to 30 analogue extensions and four IP Phones. Connectivity
to the 5100 Call Server is achieved via the LAN or an
IP WAN link.
|
 |
| |
|
|
|
 |
The 5108 Call
Server is designed for both smaller businesses and remote
offices of larger organizations providing physical connectivity
for four analogue telephone extensions. The Maximiser
call server capacity can be increased to support a maximum
of eight extensions through the addition of four IP
Phones. A single Basic Rate ISDN (BRI) trunk (2 channels)
is supplied as standard.
|
| This can
be expanded through the addition of a second BRI interface.
SIP & H.323 IP Trunks are also supported; with the 5108
capable of supporting a maximum of 8 trunks of any type
(BRI, SIP & H.323) The 5108 Call Server also offers
a 2-8 port voice processing system offering voicemail,
auto attendant and meet-me-conferencing facilities. |
